Single sign on – LSEG

Who

Product Manager, Design Manager, Designer, Copywriter, Technical Architect, Sales, Marketing, Content Manager

What

To streamline user access and improve convenience, the objective was to integrate multiple LSEG products into one unified Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. Additionally, the ultimate goal was to enhance flexibility by allowing users to log in concurrently from different devices, ensuring optimal accessibility and usability across various workflows and environments.

Where

Desktop Web App, Desktop App, Mobile App

Why

Over the years, LSEG has acquired various products, each with its own distinct login mechanism. Consequently, users found themselves managing multiple logins for different systems, often having to juggle multiple credentials for a single user experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Customer journeys and flows

Using requirements workshops to gather requirements from all parts of the business and understanding the project goals a journey map was created to showcase how a user will interact with the Single Sign On service and the overall sentiments going through the journey.

We created user flows to better showcase each individual flow in more detail and to assist Development efforts.

Previous designs

Looking at the existing login mechanisms from various different products within the London Stock Exchange family of applications to understand the nuances and how we can adopt an overall Single Sign On approach.

Designs

The final mockups and designs were to represent the sign in process regardless of the app/service you were using and also, the platform you were using such as Mobile App, Desktop App or Web so that a consistent login process was presented across the board.
